Personally when I was younger, while in the 1st grade, I did not know about gun violence and why it was such a big problem. As I grew up I slowly started understanding why guns, that have no right being in the hands of regular and mentally unstable people, were a horrible thing and how the money being poured into this business kills people. When I was in second grade, my school went on lock down, none of us knew what was going on. I learned after, that my school's principal had been shot by the school janitor. The janitor was mentally unstable, he had been friends with the principal and he went home and got a gun and shot the principal.

Someone I knew was shot by a gun because the NRA dumped money into the political system to make sure that everyone could own a gun, even people that were so unstable they would shoot their best friend. Guns like AR-15s or any other multishot automatic rifles should not be auctioned or sold to anyone no matter their mental state. A change needs to be had, when kids go into a lockdown the thought of a school shooting should not cross their minds. We need a world were kids and young adults can go to school without a fear in the back of their minds that it is possible for someone to walk into their school and have enough ammo and have a fully automatic gun to shoot as many people as this person can. It sickens me to see a country I have grown up in, be so driven by money and re-election that doing the right thing isn’t even relevant.

Anyone thinking clearly, and not blinded by the greed of money from the NRA and re-election, can see that there needs to be change and this change must be swift. Everyday three people under the age of 18 are killed everyday by gun violence alone. It’s not just people killing people, it’s the gun killing people.
