On Sunday, April 19
WE WILL LOOK AT CLIMATE CHANGE & THE ENVIRONMENT.
• Environmental concerns led by the environmental workgroup leaders, Patty Wilson and Bill Mania will discuss what is going on, what the plans are for the workgroup, and how you can participate.
• Emma Austin, winner of the 2020 Fred Winn Democratic Part Essay Contest will talk about her essay, "I Want a Future," and how she came to write it.
• Scott and Heather Schroeder will discuss their plans to continue Climate Strike Friday during the quarantine, and
• Michael Saunders will present on the water resources and situation in El Dorado County.
You may have been wondering, “How will EDP folks continue to meet, discuss, debate, etc., if we can’t sit next to each other in Town Hall???”
The Steering Committee discussed this at length (and from afar), and we plan to use teleconferencing to keep everyone connected. To that end, we will have some training for those interested. The very first general meeting may feel different—but please join in! We want to make this work. Dates and times for the trainings to be announced very soon.
Here is the link to RSVP for the meeting.
Please plan to attend—from afar!
